Workshop + Play

STEMEX Group Workshops give outreach workers, community groups and supported visit organisers a hands-on STEM session with a difference. Every visit combines a one-hour workshop — covering robotics, coding, electronics or engineering — with a further hour in the Science Discovery Zone or Creative Play area. Themes rotate each visit and can be pre-arranged to suit your group.

Terms and Conditions Summary
  • Eligibility: For pre-booked outreach and community groups visiting in a supervised capacity.
  • Booking: Pre-booking required. Email group@stemex.uk. No walk-ins for this rate.
  • Group size: Minimum 6 (3 young people plus 3 staff). Maximum 16 per booking.
  • Payment: £10 per person, applies equally to young people and accompanying staff.
  • Cancellations: Within 48 hours of the booked slot are chargeable.
  • Restrictions: Cannot be combined with other discounts, group rates, school rates, family rates, season passes or party packages.
  • Pilot status: This is a pilot scheme. STEMEX reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the offer with reasonable notice.
  • Safeguarding: Accompanying staff remain responsible for young people at all times. STEMEX staff are not in loco parentis.
  • Data: STEMEX may log booking dates, group leader contact details and group sizes for pilot evaluation. No data about young people is retained beyond the date of visit.
  • Law: Governed by the laws of England and Wales.
